How to Configure an IVR

 

*This guide will walk you through enabling and configuring a basic IVR

 

First click on the account that you wish to be the IVR.  Click on Service Features then Incoming calls.

 * IVR/Auto Attendant is a Unified Messaging feature and thus must be managed in the UM server

 

Next click on Manage UM Account.

A new page will open and you will now be in the UM management portal for the selected account.

Hover over the menu icon and click on UM Preferences

Under Mode, choose Auto Attendant and this click on Save.

Hover over the Menu again and this time click on Auto Attendant.

Now click on the Root AA menu.

You are now in the main IVR configuration page.  

From here you can:

  • Upload Intro or Menu audio files.
  • Choose what each menu option does. e.i: Transfer to extension or huntgroup, Go to the Directory, Promt for extension #, etc...
  • Set the time and days that the IVR will be active.
