How to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in the PBX Dashboard

2FA  adds a security layer to users logging into the PBX Dashboard with a non-RingOS URL

1-    Open a ticket to request 2FA to be enabled for your reseller account.

2-    Once 2FA has been enabled, install Google Authenticator on your mobile device.

3-    Login into the PBX Dashboard and open your Profile.

4-    In the section “Change Account Security” click on “Set Up Google Authenticator”

5-   A QR code will be shown

6-    Open Google Authenticator and click on “+” then select “Scan a QR code”

7-    Aim your mobile device camera to the QR code shown in the PBX Dashboard.

Automatically a new passcode record will be added to the Authenticator App.

8-    Enter the passcode shown in the Authenticator app into the “Passcode” textbox in the PBX Dashboard.

Also enter your Current Password (mandatory).

   9-    Click on “Save”

If there is an error message, make sure the passcode has not recently changed, it changes every 30 seconds,

Also make sure your current password is correct.

10-  Logout and login back, now Two-Factor Authentication will be required

Note:   Two-Factor Authentication will only be requested by the PBX Dashboard when accessing it via a non-RingOS url,

RingOS supports Single Sign On (SSO) which is used instead of Two-Factor Authentication.

The following article describes how to enable SSO in RingOS:
