Service Plans - Minute Package
Posted by Albert Diaz, Last modified by Albert Diaz on 18 August 2018 08:05 AM

A Service Plan is required for every active service. Its main purpose is to control what tariffs are applied to calls how many free minutes are included to certain calling destinations. For example, an “Unlimited US and Canada” service plan would allow for unlimited calling to the destinations in those geographic areas. A “Metered” service plan however, would not include any free minutes and all calls would be billed at the standard per minute rate in the respective inbound or outbound tariff.

Each Service Plan has an Internal Name used to identify the plan within your portal and a Name Visible to Customer that displays on the portal.

Because service plans can be quite complex and require a good understanding of the moving parts they are configured by a RingLogix team member. In most cases partners only need a couple service plans and are pre-configured when your partition is delivered. For example, one unlimited US plan and one metered plan for each service type like SIP Trunking and Hosted PBX. Should you need any additional service plans please open a ticket with our support department and we are happy to assist.

Other billing factors like monthly subscriptions and allowed call paths are set independently for each service.
