Change Greeting on an Auto Attendant

There are 3 ways to update the greeting on an Auto Attendant.
- From an Extension using the portal call back.
- From any Extension using a star code.
How to upload a greeting via the Portal
This requires admin or office manager access.
1. Once logged in go to the Auto Attendant page.
2. Select the auto attendant you want to edit.
3. Click on the Speaker Icon for the Intro or Menu Prompt. It's usually the Menu Prompt.
4. In the Manage Audio window click Upload, Browse for your file and click Save.
5. Click the Play icon to listen to your new recording.
How to record a greeting from an Extension using a portal call back.
This requires admin or office manager access. The system will call you at an extension. When you answer record your greeting and hang up. The new recording will be saved to this menu.
1. Once logged in go to the Auto Attendant page.
2. Select the auto attendant you want to edit.
3. Click on the Speaker Icon for the Intro or Menu Prompt. It's usually the Menu Prompt.
4. In the Manage Audio window click Record and enter an Extension number to be called at.
5. Complete the process and click Save.
5. Click the Play icon to listen to your new recording.
How to record a greeting from any Extension using a Star Code.
This options does not require portal access. From any phone in the system you simply dial the dedicated star code and follow the directions.
To view the star code for a Auto Attendant you will admin or office manager access.
1. Once logged in go to the Auto Attendant page.
2. Select the auto attendant you want to edit.
3. Click on the Speaker Icon for the Intro or Menu Prompt. It's usually the Menu Prompt.
4. In the Manage Audio window you will see the "Star Code to Record" option on the bottom.
