About Vertical Types

Selecting the appropriate vertical type from TCR’s limited yet broad category list can be challenging. Refer to our TCR Brand Vertical Types Guide for assistance.

Entering the Correct Tax ID

United States: Use the nine-digit EIN from the IRS. Ensure the legal company name matches IRS records, including correct spelling and address.

Canada
: From July 27th, only the Business Number (BN) will be accepted. Until then, either BN or Corporation/Incorporation/Registry ID numbers are acceptable. Use the first 9 digits of the BN.

Below is an example of a Canadian BN:

Tax/Corporation ID field: 123456789RT0001

Brand Identity Verification

Each brand undergoes an identity verification process. TCR validates the EIN, legal company name, and address with independent sources. Verification status (Verified/Unverified) is available in the RingOS portal.

Unverified Brands

Unverified Brands can not register 10DLC Campaigns. Please see your options for managing Unverified campaigns.

  • Resubmit for verification.
  • Request external vetting through Aegis Mobile.

Please ensure all brand details are correct before resubmission.

Class/Tier Assignment

Brands in the Russell 3000 are automatically assigned classes (AT&T) or tiers (T-Mobile). Verified brands not in the Russell 3000 can improve their assignment through vetting.

Vetting

CSPs can apply for vetting via TCR’s partners to access special use cases or improve service quality. Current vetting partner: Aegis Mobile, $40.00 one-time fee.

Updating Brand Details

Errors or changes in brand information can be updated and resubmitted for verification for a $5.00 fee. Please contact support for assistance.

Website/Online Presence

Include any customer website or social media presence. The aggregator will verify the business through these channels. Websites must be working, secure, and aligned with messaging use cases.

Acceptable vs. Rejected Criteria

  • Acceptable: Working, secure website with opt-in language for webforms collecting mobile numbers.
  • Rejected: Unsecured, non-working sites, domain parking sites, placeholders, or webforms without opt-in language.

Below is Sample Opt-in Language for Webforms used to collect phone numbers

"By clicking 'Submit,' I agree to receive emails, text messages, and phone calls, which may be recorded and/or sent using automated dialing or emailing equipment or software unless I opt-out from such communications. I also agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy linked below. I understand that my consent to be contacted is not a requirement to purchase any product or service and that I can opt-out at any time. I agree to pay my mobile service provider's text messaging rates, if applicable."
